“C’mon! Let’s do the ring toss next!” Pewdie said, grabbing Cry’s hand and dragging him along. Cry let out a small “okay” followed by a chuckle, putting up no fight to being dragged around like a doll.

Today, Cry had gone with Pewdie to a little carnival not too far away from where they lived. It had been a pretty boring week, and he felt like they could do something fun to pass the day away.  Besides, it was leaving in the next day or two, anyways.

So, Cry drove them there, and immediately, they had started right off with the rides that were a little crazy, any ride that was fast. By the time they had ridden all of those, it had begun to get dark out. They stopped to get a little bit of food, and then went on some simple, fun rides. Now, all they had left were the little games that were scattered around the carnival grounds.

And here they were- finally at the ring toss. Cry smiled to the lady who was in charge of the little game. She gave him a small smile in return. “5 dollars for each person,” she told them. Cry pulled a five, and handed it to the lady.

Pewdie looked at him, a little confused. “Aren’t you going to try?” Cry shrugged and shook his head.
“Ring tosses aren’t my thing,” he murmured quietly, but Pewdie had already turned his attention to the ring toss. Cry watched silently as Pewdie tossed the first ring, and failed miserably at getting it onto a peg. Pewds tossed the next ring, and again, missed a peg.

As he picked up his last ring, Cry noticed a gleam of determination in his eyes.

Pewdie threw the ring, and-

Miss.

Cry giggled to himself, making Pewds turn around and glare at him. Cry ignored him, and simply took out another five dollar bill, handing it to the lady.

“Let me show you how to do a ring toss,” Cry said, and picked up the first ring. After a few seconds, he tossed it. The ring landed perfectly on the peg, twirling its way down to the bottom.  When Cry turned around, Pewdie was staring at him, looking like he was angry. Cry chuckled and motioned for Pewdie to come over to him.

“C’mere- I’ll teach you,” Cry said, smiling gently and holding out a ring. Pewdie rolled his eyes but obeyed, taking the ring.

“Now, first, you have to hold the ring like so,” Cry said, wrapping his arms around him and putting his hand over Pewdie’s. He positioned Pewdie’s hand correctly, before explaining the next step.

“Now look to where you want to throw it,” Cry murmured, and Pewdie obediently did so.

“Now, flick your wrist gently… No, not like that… Yes! Perfect!” Cry exclaimed as Pewdie tossed the ring, and it landed on the peg, just like Cry’s did.

“Just one more…,” Cry said, handing the last ring to Pewds. He moved back behind Pewdie again, and after a few seconds, the ring was around the peg.

Pewds turned to Cry, beaming. The lady in charge of the game asked them what prize they wanted. They could choose between a big teddy bear, a plush snake, or a plush fox.

“Which one do you want, Cry?” Pewdie asked. Cry shrugged. “You pick.”
“No, no- you pick! You helped me get all three rings on the peg, so you get to choose the prize!”

“Pewds, I don’t-“
“Pick!”
“Pewds-“

“PICK,” Pewdie said firmly, poking Cry in the side. Cry put up his hands, surrendering. “Okay, okay! Uh… The teddy bear.”  The lady nodded and took off a teddy bear from the hook, handing it to Cry. Cry smiled and thanked her, before beginning to walk away. Pewdie tugged on his arm.

“Let me carry it,” Pewds insisted. Cry opened his mouth to protest, but Pewdie took it out of his hands before he could say anything.

They began to walk around the carnival, doing some more games. All the while, Pewdie held onto the large bear, and ignored Cry when he said he could carry it.
-------
As they began to leave, Cry turned to Pewds.
“Why did you insist on holding the bear?”

Pewds shrugged. “It felt like the right thing to do.” Cry chuckled. He gave Pewds a small, sweet kiss. When he pulled back, Pewds gave him a questioning look.

“Why’d you do that?” he asked. Cry smiled and shrugged.

“It felt like the right thing to do.”
This is what I do to make up for not putting out the next chapter of You're Beautiful.

I got the idea from a site that makes up OTP prompts! They're really great if you need a boost for writing.
